PST // THE ART OF PLAY

Remember when you were young, in the neighborhood playing your favorite sport with your best friends?

WE DO.

We want give that back to the kids. Because back then, regardless of how your day was going, the biggest concern was “who is bringing the soccer ball for pick up?!”

The PST Project mission to raise awareness of primarily the game of futsal (street soccer) and allow kids to participate in our PST Youth & Binghampton Program FREE OF CHARGE.

WHY FUTSAL?

The game of Futsal is everything a child needs in order to fall in love with such a complex and long game as soccer.

Across the world, Futsal is the first thing players have access to when they first begin to walk! Children play until dawn and are constantly in trouble for playing in certain areas of the house!

Futsal allows players to have close control of the ball at all times and therefore maximizes their touch. Players become more confident on the ball and outside of the court - this is why most talented futsal players are VERY confident on the pitch and most of them have a very unique style, eg. Neymar, Firmino, Ronaldinho, etc…

Playing Futsal or Street Soccer, also allows a player to play in basically every positions on the court, allowing the player to make cognitive decisions that not only helps in the game but also ignites brain development.

Gaisman Park is one of the oldest park in Memphis! Every week we offer FREE skills training sessions for the entire neighborhood!

There is no prior-registration, just show up and take advantage of being trained by a licensed coach! If the weather does not cooperate, training will take place inside the community center!

For training dates and times, check out our event tab!

DRINKS ARE ON US! PST will provide refreshments for each participant!

PST // BINGHAMPTON

The Lester Community Center and recently redeveloped "Hamp" field in Binghampton which provides perfect spaces to accommodate the number of kids that continue to show up for PST Clinics.

Once a week, a group of volunteers coaches and soccer fanatics host kids from the neighborhood from 5pm - 6:30pm inside or out depending on the weather for an evening of Soccer & Futsal!

The mission of this project is to introduce the game of soccer and allow players to discover at their own pace the beauty of the sport.

This is NOT a training program for players to be placed on TEAMS. This is the ground work PRIOR to that!

DINNER IS PROVIDED AT EVERY SESSION AFTER TRAINING SESSION FOR PLAYERS AND VOLUNTEERS!
